Summer Catch-Up

My Muse finally struck again and I have been able to knock out a few pages lately. WAY behind on P365, wonder if I should give that up?!?! Feeling like a lost cause at this point...but these are some of my best pages to date!

Summer 2012 Pt 1

Now that I don't have a baby to scrapbook every single milestone any more this scrapbook thing has gotten a bit easier. HA! At this point I am pretty much desperately trying to get caught up with summer pages. I get in the cycles of scrap scrap scrap and then I don't forever...goal is to get summer done before fall and Christmas hit.

{July 2012}

This page was inspired by THIS page and THIS blog post. The moment I saw it I knew I had to "copy" it. The blog post was probably the most poignant mommy post I have ever read. It is something that still sticks with me today. This mommy business is hella hard most days, but man when you slow down every now and again and just soak in a moment with your kids, you tend to remember why you had kids in the first place. I am always on the look out for those Kairos moments daily.

These two babies are my world and I thank God I get to be here and be there mommy.

{Summer Highlights 2012}

Seems like the only thing we did this summer was swim! Guess that is a given when it is over 103* nearly every day. And don't rub your eyes these are the same pages just with each kid's pictures interchanged. Two pages in 1 hour. Done.  :)

Leighton's Scrapbook

Here is another look into Lo's scrapbook. I am -->: :<--this close to being all caught up with her scrapbook and Micah's book. My goal is to be caught up by the end of the month. We shall see, however, life usually interferes with all my best laid plans. HA!

{May}

This is a page for both kids. I am hoping after this first year with Micah, I will have more of these. That's the beauty of digi scrapping you can make one page once and print it as many times as you like.

Micah's Scrapbook {pt2}

After posting pt 1 of Micah's scrapbook, I found the motivation to get his scrapbook caught up. Now if I can keep it that way and get Lo's caught up I will be golden.

Leighton's Second Year Scrapbook Pt. 4

Here are my latest (as in now I am behind again) pages in Lo's 2nd year scrapbook. I also am trying to get a "family" scrapbook going, but we (ie Chad and I) are not nearly as scrap worthy as our darling daughter and soon to be son! :)

Because I have to give credit where credit is due, the pictures in the "In My Daughter's Eyes" page were taken by the lovely Ginger Skillen Photography! She is so awesome and I can't wait for her to take our NEW family pictures in late January/early February when our son arrives!! (You know along with newborn and 2 year old pics too! :) ).

I love digi scrapbooking! It becomes quite addicting for me at times. Some of the best part of digi scrapbooking is hunting for all the free downloads. Right Erin?! :) I have paid zero for every element, paper, font, and lettering I use! It is awesome. And sometimes you find really awesome quick pages like this one below and you can do an entire page in 5 minutes verse the 45min OR 2 days that it usually takes me! HA!

FAMILY Scrapbook!

I even have Baby Q's up-to-date, but I will save those for a rainy day. :)

Leighton's 2nd Year Scrapbook pt.3

For your enjoyment, or mine ;) Here is the latest installment of Lo's 2nd year scrapbook. I really find this addicting and love it more than I ever thought I would. They got a bit out of order because that is how I roll, you have to go with the creative juices that strike. :) I am really amazed at how much she has changed in just the last 6 months!

To see or remember part one click HERE and/or part two click HERE.
Also if you would like to read the journaling, please click on the picture to enlarge it...in case you already didn't know that. :)

Note: That my good friend Ginger took these beautiful ONE year photos.
These first two pages actually conclude her ONE year album, but I had to include them. :)
This is suppose to be a side by side two page layout...not sure why I just said that. :)
