Scrapbook Summer 2013-February 2014

Today is my day off, so I am finally catching up on some scrapbooking. Now I didn't get all of these done today just 3 and tweaked 2, but I am happy to finally have something to post, maybe looking at these will motivate me to finish out 2013 {this is pretty hit and miss} and get through this summer fun. It's good to have goals. :) {August 2013} photo TRLTrippage1copy.jpg photo TRLTrippage2copy.jpg photo RidingBikesansTrainingWheelscopy.jpg  {September 2013} photo ThatchyBeauJanglescopy.jpg {October 2013--1 page for each kid} photo halloween2013-MWcopy.jpg photo halloween2013-Locopy.jpg {November 2013} photo Loadenoidsx11.jpg {Christmas 2013} photo Santa2013LoandMWcopy.jpg photo twasthenightbeforechristmas2013_MWcopy.jpg photo twasthenightbeforechristmas2013_Locopy.jpg {January 2014} photo 3rdbirthdaycopy.jpg {February 2014} photo 5thbirthdaypartycopy.jpg

Summer and Fall 2012

The New Year is upon us and I have loved spending lazy Christmas break days catching up on my scrapbooking.

Summer Pt 2.
{July}

{August}
I love watching my kids play superheros and this Christmas they got their own real capes. So I foresee more comic book pages!

Potty Training MW kicked off this summer. I am pleased to say we are nearly there. He isn't even 2 yet and he tinkles in the potty like a pro. Now for the big business...well that is another story. But very few diapers for this mommy! I feel lucky to say I have only had to do 4 years of diapers for 2 kids!

Micah' First Year Scrapbook (10-12m)

Micah's first year scrapbook is nearly complete! I can't believe we have gone a whole year already. He has changed and grown so much. I love having these memories to look at whenever I want.

{month 10}

I need to go back and fix that journaling! Yuck. Too busy...

{month 11}

{month 12: First Birthday.}
Once I get his One Year Pics taken then I can complete chapter ONE of Micah Bear. My friend Ginger and I are having a heck of a time getting a moment where her family and mine are well to do his pics. Fingers crossed for next week!!!

And today we are getting ready to celebrate Lo Lo sissy's 3rd Birthday!! Can't believe it. Party post to come. Stay tuned. :)

Lo's Scrapbook pt 5

I have said this each and every time, but I am just so gosh darn proud of myself for staying up-to-date on our scrapbooks. I just think Lo will cherish these one day {at least I hope} and I want to be caught up, not scrapbooking her first year of life when she is 16. Sorry mom ;)

Here is just some of what I have done. I am going to have to break it up in a few posts.
First up Fall 2010.
I hope you enjoy looking at these as I do. If not, don't tell me it will hurt my feelings. :)

And as always if you want to read the journalings you will have to click the pictures and enlarge it.

Probably one of my favorite pages ever done!
I even sent this one and the Halloween one to my sister for her to put in Lan's one day scrapbook.

Next up will be Winter/Christmas...except I still have a few Christmas ones to finish up first...I am oh so close, amongst a smattering of other pages. Then Baby Q will be here and I will be off to the races getting his life scraped. But I love it!!

All 50 pages on my shutterfly account HERE.

This is the final installment aren't you all excited! ;)

Some FAQ I have gotten on this:
(if you have any questions I didn't cover just leave a comment)1. How did you do this?
I did all of this on Photoshop Elements. It is nothing too fancy, just basic, but it gets the job done. I am NO PRO by any stretch of the imagination and still have lots to learn. However, I am pretty please with how it turned out for a first time digital scrapbooker.

2. How did you print them off?
I asked a lot of my photoshop pro and design friends for suggestions and decided to go with Scrapbooksplease. The did my 12x12 pages for $1.99 each.

3. How was the quality?
I was overall impressed with the quality. I did a matte paper b/c I don't like glossy, but I am re-thinking that now.
4. Would you use this company again?
Yes, and no. The price is right, but I did think the shipping was a little high $14 for 50 pages. There is another company called Scrapping Simply that ships for a flat $5 (or so it appears) that I may try next time. If one of you uses them please let me know what you think!

5. Is digital scrapbooking easier than regular scrapbooking?
A resounding YES, in my opinion. I have "tried" my hand at the old-fashion way, but it is time consuming, creates a mess, and expensive. The old-fashion way does yield really cool 3-D pages, but I think digital gives you more bang for your buck, once you get over the headache that is photoshop!

6. Do I have to have photoshop to do this?
No, there are lots of free sites out there to use. Sorry I can't think of any to link you to, but google is your friend use it! :) However, basic photoshop elements runs around $100, so it could be a worthy investment. But you might want to pick up the Photoshop for dummies book while you are at it! (Thanks Erin for the tip :) ).

Happy Saturday!
